Privacy Policy

Verbo (“we”, “us”) provides AI-powered English grammar correction by voice and text, on the web and on Android/iOS. This page explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

• Text you submit. Anything you type or speak into Verbo is sent to our AI providers to generate a correction, explanation, or rewrite.
• Voice audio.If you use voice input, your spoken audio is sent to OpenAI's Whisper service to convert it to text. We do not retain a copy of your audio after transcription completes.
• Account information. If you create an account, we collect your email address and a securely hashed password. You can also use Verbo anonymously without an account — in that case we assign a random, anonymous device identifier instead.
• Correction history.If you're signed in (including anonymously), we store your past corrections so you can review them later. You can delete any entry, or all of them, at any time from the History page.
• Basic usage data. We log IP addresses briefly to apply rate limits that prevent abuse of the service. We do not use this for tracking or advertising.

How we use this information

• To generate grammar corrections, explanations, and rewrites.
• To convert your spoken voice input into text.
• To save and display your correction history.
• To personalize responses using your name, if you choose to share it.
• To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-party services we use

• Anthropic (Claude API) — processes the text you submit to generate corrections, explanations, and rewrites.
• OpenAI (Whisper API) — transcribes voice recordings into text.
• Supabase — hosts our database and handles account authentication.
• Vercel — hosts our website and backend.

Each of these providers processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security commitments; we don't control their independent use of data outside the services they provide to us.

Your choices

• You can use Verbo without creating an account.
• You can delete individual corrections, or your entire history, at any time.
• You can request full deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us at nmmaimela@gmail.com.

Children's privacy

Verbo is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this policy, we'll update the date at the top of this page.
